Lipica Stud Farm Opens its Doors Free of Charge on the Occasion of Summer Museum Night on 18 June

On Saturday 18 June, Lipica Stud Farm will participate in Museum Summer Night, a traditional event held by Slovenian galleries and museums. During this pleasantly fresh summer evening, visitors will be able to enter the stud farm free of charge between 06.00 and 22.00.

They will be particularly invited to visit the Lipikum Lipizzaner Museum, the Avgust Černigoj Gallery, the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, the Lipica Carriage Museum Collection and the permanent collection of art photographs created by renowned Slovenian photographer Joco Žnidaršič.

During a tasting of local dishes and wines at the Culinary Museum, the air will be filled with the scent of Karst, whilst the renovated Manor will host a screening of RTV Slovenia’s documentary film “Lipica, Kraj, ki je konju dal ime” (Lipica, the Place that Gives Its Name to a Horse).

Additional offers, primarily intended for families with children, include pony riding and evening carriage rides along Lipica’s wonderful, enhanced tree-lined paths.

Through this offer, which places emphasis on Lipica’s heritage as the original stud farm for Lipizzaners, its unique estate, and Karst cuisine and wine tasting, Lipica Stud Farm is creating a new, fresh experience based on visitor wants and preferences. Slovenians are the people that Lipica wishes to convince and attract with its comprehensive offer.
