Why to take up riding?

There are some reasons which convince people to take up riding:

  • It can be something we have always wanted but never found the right opportunity to get this wish. There are many sports which we have to take up when we are very young, but riding is one of those we can take up also when we are adults.
  • We like horses, admire everything connected with them and are enraptured by their beauty, strength and elegance. A wish is born from that to spend as much time as possible among horses and ride them.
  • We have friends who ride and would like to join them and try it ourselves.
  • We have become acquainted with horse-riding when we were children and were active riders in our youth but had to give up this sport for different reasons. When we are older we have more time to dedicate to horses.

Regardless of the reason which makes somebody take up this beautiful sport, I recommend you to obtain as much quality information as possible prior to training also from our qualified instructors, teachers and trainers in riding schools and equestrian clubs.

We recommend you to obtain information about and answer to the following questions:

  • Who performs the training? Is it qualified personnel with valid licences?
  • How are lessons for beginners organised, are they individual or group lessons?
  • Do beginners ride ‘on a lunge’ and how long does such lesson take?
  • How many participants are there in a group?
  • Where do courses take place, in a riding hall or outside?
  • What are the timetables of courses (link), how often can you practice?
  • What type of equipment is required and how is safety ensured?

On our website you will be able to get acquainted with different topics connected with horses and the equestrian sport and we hope horses will become your best friends.
