On Saturday, 12 September, Lipica will host a ceremony marking the reunification of Primorska with the motherland. More about the event.
On this day, there will be no regular tours of Lipica Stud Farm and the stables will not be open for visits. At 11.00, you can attend the main ceremony marking the reunification of Primorska with the motherland free of charge.
At the Stud Farm, you can enjoy:
- Meet the Lipizzan in the covered riding arena at 9.00, 10.00, 14.00, 15.00, 16.00 and 17.00 – additional charge applies.
- Carriage rides around the estate will take place between 14.00 and 18.00. Each ride lasts 15 minutes.

Food and refreshments will be available at several locations: in the tent and kiosk by the hippodrome, on the summer terrace and at Gratia Restaurant. A selection of tasty dishes will be available, including goulash and ćevapčiči. Stop by, enjoy a bite to eat and soak up the pleasant atmosphere!
Due to the event, traffic arrangements will be changed:
From Sežana along Sežana Avenue, traffic to the intersection in Lipica will be one-way. A diversion will be in place towards Lokev. All exits from Lipica will be directed towards Škibini and Lokev.
Parking will be free. Please follow the instructions of the traffic marshals.
Entry to the covered riding arena is only possible with a valid ticket:
- adults: €10.00,
- children aged 0 to 5.99 years: €1.00,
- children aged 6 to 13.99 years: €4.00,
- secondary-school and university students aged 14 to 23: €6.00,
- family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children): €25.00.
Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office.
Carriage rides will take place between 14.00 and 18.00, with each ride lasting 15 minutes. Advance reservations are not possible; you can reserve your ride time on the day of the event at the ticket office.
