CAI – International Carriage Driving Competition – Cancelled
Dear Sir or Madam,
Due to the outbreak of equine influenza type A, and based on the recommendations of the Veterinary Faculty and the Equestrian Federation of Slovenia, we would like to inform you that the CAI equestrian competition scheduled from May 6 to May 10, 2026, has been cancelled.
This decision has been made in order to ensure the highest standards of safety and to protect the health of the horses. The welfare of the horses and the protection of the herd at the Lipica Stud Farm remain our top priority.
We sincerely regret the situation and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We invite you to join us at the prestigious International Carriage Driving Competition, taking place from 7 to 10 May 2026 in the beautiful setting of the Lipica Stud Farm.
The event will bring together top competitors from various countries, who will showcase exceptional skill, harmony and elegance with their teams. Visitors will be able to enjoy exciting competition disciplines such as dressage, marathon and obstacle driving between cones, where both the drivers’ precision and the strength and nobility of the horses come to the fore.
Admission to the competition is included in the stud farm entrance ticket.
Entries for Lipica 2026 are open until 24 April 2026. The competition is held in accordance with the rules of the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).

Competitors must meet all veterinary requirements (vaccinations and temperature checks before and during the event). Please indicate your chosen FEI dressage test upon entry.
