Valentina Truppa and Fixdesign Eremo del Castegno are the great winners of the Lipica CDI3*–W, after three years a Lipizzaner successfully returns to the GP Freestyle
The first lady of the Italian dressage Valentina Truppa is
the great winner of today's Grand Prix Freestyle to music in Lipica. With her Fixdesign
Eremo del Castegno she rode to the result of 80,325 percent, charming the public
with excellent piaffe and passage, perfectly matching to the Italian music.
Valentina Truppa won also the Grand Prix Special with
Fixdesign Chablis, repeating her double victory of the year 2011.
The second place in the Gran Prix Freestyle to music went to
the Swiss rider Marcela Krinke – Susmelj with Smeyers Molberg (74,875 percent), while the third place went to the
last year's winner Elena Sidneva with Romeo Star from Russia (73,350 percent).
After three years a Lipizzaner competed in the GP Fresstyle
again - Lipica Stud Farm rider Birgit Fabris Sauer rode to the 14th place with 261
Maestoso Slavina XIX, showing a very nice passage (64,550 percent).
»I am happy, actually I am even more happy with my Saturday's
test,« explained Birgit Fabris Sauer, thankful to the Lipica Stud Farm trainer
Alojz Lah, who supported her during the preparation for the CDI. Thanks go also
to her husand Ladislav Fabris, who trained 261 Maestoso Slavina XIX to the GP
»We congratulate Birgit Fabris Sauer for her success, being
aware of the personal engagement, necessary for such a result,« said the Acting
General Manager of the Lipica Stud Farm dr. Boštjan Bizjak. Stud Farm Manager
mag. Janez Rus agreed: »This encouraging score is the result of personal
dedication of Birgit Fabris Sauer as well as the professional and correct work
of the Lipica Classical Riding School. We are happy to see a Lipizzaner
successfully returning to the competition arena.«
The results of the first, second and third day of the
competition allowed no doubt about the best riders. Karoline Valenta from
Austria won all the three competitions for Young Riders with Diego, another
Austrian rider Nicola Louise Ahorner won all the Junior Competitions, while
Valentina Remold rode to the first place with Prince of Glory in the
Competition for Pony Riders.
The Young Horses Competitions of Friday and Saturday brought
to the first place Ulrike Prunthaller with Bartlgut's Quantum and Bartlgut's
Quarz. The Austrian rider won also todays's Intermediate I Freestyle with Bartlgut's
The second Slovene competitor was happy with the results at
the CDI, too. The young member of the
Lipica Equetrian Club Ines Fridau Tivadar with Desto finished the Junior
Competition in the 9th place.
86 competitors with 94 horses from 16 countries took part in
the FEI CDI3*W/CDIJ/CDIY/CDIP/CDIYH. The next international event in the Lipica
Stud Farm will be the International Driving Event from June 27th to June 29th.
