Alpe Adria Dressage Trophy Qualifier runs from Friday 5 May to Sunday 7 May and will be the first in a series of equestrian competitions at Lipica Stud Farm in 2017. Here, the youngest and aspiring riders in the A category will perform, followed by more challenging tasks up to the S category.

More than 40 competitors from Slovenia, Austria, Italy, and Croatia with more than 45 horses will also perform on the Saturday and Sunday at the Lipica hippodrome. The competition at Lipica Stud Farm is the second competition this season in which riders can compete for Alpe Adria Dressage Trophy points. The third qualification competition will be held in July in Grisignano in Italy, and the final, which is held alternately by Slovenia, Austria, and Italy, will be held this autumn in Austria.

The Alpe Adria Dressage Trophy has for more than ten years connected dressage riding fans from Slovenia, Austria, and Italy; competitors from Croatia have joined them in recent years. For many younger competitors this is the first opportunity to present themselves before international judges, to perform on a large stage, such as the Lipica hippodrome, and to obtain their first international competitive experience.

Competition organisers at Lipica Stud Farm will provide them with support, a hospitable reception, and traditionally optimal competitive conditions.
