Equestrian School of the Lipica Stud Farm
Z namenom, da bi kobilarno, naše lipicance in konjeništvo približali mladim v našem okolju, smo pripravili program dela Konjeniške šole Kobilarne Lipica. Program je namenjen osnovnošolski in srednješolski mladini. Kobilarna Lipica vse bolj načrtno in intenzivno sodeluje z domačimi in tujimi strokovnjaki ter strokovnimi in izobraževalnimi ustanovami.
Namen tečajev Konjeniške šole Kobilarne Lipica je:
- Informiranje in izobraževanje mladih na področju konjeništva in reje lipicanca.
- Usposabljanje mladih za aktivno udejstvovanje na področju konjeništva.
- Oblikovanje kroga ljubiteljev Lipice – aktivno preživljanje prostega časa v Kobilarni Lipica
Tečaji torej niso namenjeni zgolj učenju jahanja, temveč tudi izobraževanju, s poudarkom na spoznavanju značilnosti in potreb konj, spoznavanju teoretičnih osnov konjeništva, osnov dobre konjerejske in konjeniške prakse.
Konjeniška šola Kobilarne Lipica bo organizirana v obliki skupinskih tečajev. Poučevanje jahanja bo potekalo dvakrat na teden v popoldanskem času v skupinah (po 4 jahače), ki jih bodo inštruktorji oblikovali glede na starost in predznanje. Jahalne ure bodo potekale dvakrat na teden v popoldanskem času.
Pogoji za prijavo Minimalna starost udeležencev je 12 let.
Obvezna je jahalne oprema, jahalne hlače, škornji in čelada. Čelada je obvezna oprema ne glede na starost. Do 15. leta je obvezen tudi ščitnik za zaščito hrbtenice.
Prijava v Konjeniško šolo jahanja je potrebna do konca januarja 2025. Naknadne vpise sprejemamo do zapolnitve mest.
V primeru, da se v program vpisuje mladoletna oseba, je potrebno, da obrazec izpolnijo starši oziroma zakoniti zastopniki.
Splošni pogoji - Program jahanja Konjeniške šole Kobilarne Lipica 2024/25 izvaja družba Kobilarna Lipica d.o.o.. Program se izvaja na posestvu Kobilarne Lipica.
- S poslano prijavnico stranka sproži rezervacijo, ki jo obdelamo v roku 7 dni in obvestimo o razpoložljivih terminih.
- Šola jahanja se plačuje mesečno po izdanih računih, ki jih stranka dobi na e-mail ali po pošti. Cena programa velja za udeležbo za obdobje enega meseca, to je od prvega do zadnjega dne v tekočem mesecu. V primeru šolskih počitnic se mesečna cena ne spremeni.
- Naknadne vpise med letom sprejemamo do zapolnitve mest.
- Jahanje in priprava konja pred, med in po jahanju je na lastno odgovornost. Za osebe mlajše od 18 let je za to dogovoren starš oziroma skrbnik.
- Uporaba čelade je obvezna ves čas trajanja programa.
- Do 15. leta je obvezen tudi hrbteničnik (želva).
- Udeleženci so dolžni upoštevati navodila strokovnega osebja Kobilarne Lipica.
- Ker delamo z živalmi in želimo zadovoljiti potrebe jahača in konja, se lahko dolžina programa razlikuje. Na to lahko vpliva tudi čas priprave med posameznimi lekcijami. Hvala za razumevanje.

Carriage Ride
People harnessed horses long before they first rode them in prehistoric times, gaining invaluable help with everyday tasks. The invention of the carriage transformed many other areas of life as well: it allowed people to cross great distances quickly while carrying larger loads. For centuries, Lipica carriages travelled between Trieste and Vienna, completing the entire journey in only three days.
At Lipica, kings and queens, distinguished guests and foreign diplomats once travelled by carriage. Today, this enchanting experience is open to everyone who loves horses, nature and the gentle rhythm of hooves echoing through the stud farm. The ride is suitable for all ages, and our carriage drivers are always pleased to share a secret or two about the Lipica estate along the way. At Lipica, you can enjoy a carriage ride for 5 or 7 people.
Prices and reservations Carriage rides are available from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 12:00 and between 16:00 and 18:00. Carriage rides are not available on Mondays. Carriage rides are not available in case of rain. In the event of extreme heat, carriage rides operate according to an adjusted schedule.

Trail riding
Lipica Stud Farm invites experienced riders to discover the beauty of the Lipica estate and the Karst from the saddle of a Lipizzan horse.
Trail riding is a pleasant way to unwind and an unforgettable experience with Lipizzaner horses. Guests are taken at a leisurely pace (at a walk) through those parts of the Lipica estate and the Karst that visitors do not usually get to see. Where conditions allow, the instructor will decide where the horse can be allowed to break into a canter.
Riders travel through Lipica’s most beautiful avenues, pastures that have been used exclusively for breeding Lipizzan horses since 1580, and the hidden, forested areas of the Living Museum of the Karst, where fascinating karst phenomena can be discovered at every turn.
Participation requirements The minimum age for participants is 15 years.
The maximum age for participants in the riding programme is 70 years.
Appropriate riding equipment is mandatory for participation in the riding programme: riding breeches, riding boots or shoes, and a riding helmet. A back protector is also mandatory for participants under the age of 18. A riding helmet and back protector can be borrowed from us free of charge.
Advance booking is mandatory and must be made at least three working days in advance.
The rider can ride independently at walk, trot and canter;
has good balance and understands the use of riding aids;
the rider holds a certificate issued by a national equestrian organisation or the riding club of which they are a member, such as the Rider 2 qualification issued by the Equestrian Federation of Slovenia.
Schedule Trail riding is available only in the morning.
In July and August at 7:30.
From April to October at 9:00.
From November to March at 10:00.
Price list Upon purchase of the riding programme, an additional payment is required for admission to the Lipica Stud Farm (offered at a 10% discount).
We reserve the right to change the riding program.
General terms and conditions - On the day of your riding programme, please report to the entrance of Lipica Stud Farm at least 15 minutes before the programme begins.
- If you are unable to attend the riding programme at the agreed time, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
- The maximum permitted weight of a programme participant is 90 kilograms.
- The minimum age for participants in the riding programme is 15 years.
- The maximum age for participants in the riding programme is 70 years.
- Riding and preparing the horse before, during and after the programme are undertaken at the participant’s own risk. For participants under the age of 18, responsibility lies with their parent or legal guardian.
- A riding helmet must be worn throughout the programme.
- A back protector is also mandatory for participants under the age of 18.
- To ensure that trail riding is a relaxing and enjoyable experience, the group is led by a Lipica Stud Farm guide, who selects the route, determines the riding pace and looks after the safety of the entire group.
- The trail riding programme is suitable and particularly appealing to riders who have already mastered the basics of riding and can control a horse independently. The Rider 2 qualification is required to participate in the trail riding programme.
- Before the trail ride begins, the guide assesses the riders’ abilities in the outdoor riding arena. This enables us to ensure the safety and comfort of the entire group.
- For riders with extensive trail riding experience, Lipica Stud Farm can also organise full-day or multi-day trail rides. We believe there is no better way to discover Lipica and the Karst than from the saddle of a Lipizzan horse.

Dressage lessons
Dressage is a fundamental equestrian discipline based on complete harmony between rider and horse. At Lipica Stud Farm, dressage is practised according to the principles of the classical school of dressage, which developed over the centuries from the training of horses for military purposes. On the battlefield, a horse capable of performing pirouettes, flying changes, lateral movements and other elements could sometimes be of vital importance to its rider. The art of combat on specially trained horses was developed to its highest level in Spain, which is also the origin of the name »Spanish Riding School«.
The foundation of classical dressage is the horse’s natural ability. The fundamental principle and objective of classical dressage is to prepare the horse and rider physically, mentally and technically so that, in complete harmony and without force, they can perform movements at the highest level of collection that horses also display naturally when moving freely.
Dressage as a competitive discipline primarily emphasises the complete and harmonious development of the horse’s physical and mental abilities. Almost all elements of the classical school have been preserved in competitive dressage tests, with particular emphasis on the beauty of movement and the rider’s harmonious, almost imperceptible influence on the horse.
