Ever since the 1960s, the prosciutto makers from Lokev have dried their prosciutto in the strong Karst winds. The prosciutto is dried for six to nine months, in accordance with the rules for the geographic indication of Karst prosciutto. The Karst prosciutto pairs great with Nanos cheese from the nearby Vipava valley.
Jota with Prunk sausage
