Lipizzan Day 2024
Lipica Stud Farm celebrates a venerable 444 years! We will mark the anniversary of the oldest European stud farm on Sunday, May 19. Join us for a full day of celebration with equestrian spectacles, carriages, children’s workshops, music, and exquisite cuisine.
Program of Experiences
Stud Farm Program:
09:00 – Viewing of the Lipizzan horses being released into the pasture
09:00 – 18:00 – Self-guided tours of the estate
09:00 – 18:00 – Carriage rides
9:00 -11:00, 13:00 -15:00, 16:00 – 18:00 – Children’s pony workshops
10:00 – Carriage Driving Competition
10:00 – Horse shoeing demonstration
10:00 & 14:00 – Guided tour in Slovenian
11:00 & 13:00 – Professional guidance in Avgust Černigoj Gallery
11:30 & 13:30 – Horse Encounter Experience, Slovenian language
12:00 – Guided tour in English
14:00 – Horse Encounter Experience, English language
15:00 – Lipizzan Riding School show at the hippodrome (in case of bad weather in the indoor arena)
Children’s Creative Park:
- Mega kids’ party with Poskočec: Equestrian circuit, mini orienteering run, making equestrian puppets, making paper horses, making horse-themed crowns, sensory path, wonderful treasure hunt
- Face painting for all the mischievous ones
- Bubble party fun
- 11:00 Children’s theatre performance “Pippi Goes to School”
- 11:30 – 12:30 Dance workshop
Magic Tent:
- 12:30, 13:30, 14:30 & 16:30 – Performance by magician Brlinij
Campers’ Valley:
